Simple Steak




Marinade:  Mix all together
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons dried basil
1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley 
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 clove minced garlic

Optional for after the steak is cooked:  2 Tablespoons butter

Marinate your favorite cut of 1 inch thick steak for 2- 8 hours in fridge.
Take out of fridge until meat reaches room temp. 

Season with pepper and season salt.

Sear on very high heat on each side of 1 inch steak for 3 minutes.
In oven safe pan/grill put in 425 degree oven for 3-4 minutes each side.
Check temp often.  130 degrees for rare/med. rare
Remove from oven and top with butter.
Rest for 5 minutes tented with foil before serving.
