
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup mixture of red and green bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons cumin
4 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons prepared yellow mustard
1 ¼ cup ketchup
½ cup water
2 Tablespoons vinegar
1 Tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in cold water
Burger Buns*
Directions:
In a large skillet on medium heat, Brown the ground beef, just before it’s done, blend in the garlic, salt, pepper, cumin and chili powder.
Add the onion and bell peppers and stir, cooking for a minute or two.
Add the mustard and vinegar and mix in well.
Add the ketchup and water, stir for a minute to blend.
Bring to a boil and then turn down to simmer for 20 minutes.
Bring back up to a full boil and add the cornstarch and water to thicken if desired.
Serve on burger buns with optional chopped onions and cheese!
