Ground Beef with Mushroom and Garlic Gravy over Potatoes


Ingredients:
1 pound lean Ground Beef 
1 cup Sweet Onion, chopped
1 cup fresh Portabella Mushrooms, chopped
4 cloves Garlic, crushed
3 cups Beef Broth  
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon black Pepper
1/4 cup Cornstarch
1 cup Sour Cream 
Prepared  mashed potatoes

Directions:
In a large skillet, brown the beef. Do not drain.
Add onions, mushrooms and garlic and cook until tender.
Set aside 1/4 cup of the beef broth.
Add remaining 2-3/4 cups broth, salt and pepper to the skillet and bring to a boil.
Turn down heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Turn up the heat to a nice boil.
Dissolve the cornstarch in the 1/4 cup cold beef broth then stir into the pan.
Cook and stir until it thickens.
Remove from heat and add sour cream, stirring well.



Serve over mashed potatoes*, rice or noodles.
